Training Manual - Recruiting and Supporting Volunteers from Diverse Cultural and Language Backgrounds

As part of the Commonwealth's CALD Implementation Project, the State Volunteer Centres have assisted the Australian Multicultural Foundation, Judith Miralles & Associates, and Volunteering Australia with developing a Training Program and Manual to help not-for-profits with recruiting and supporting volunteers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

The training manual consists of an introductory section for trainers, and the following four training modules":

1. Planning
2. Recruitment
3. Welcome & Orientation of volunteers
4. Supporting Volunteers

Trainers are encouraged to customise and add to the material to meet the needs of each client organiastion.
