National Volunteer Strategy Consultation
The Federal Government has been progressing with plans to develop a National Volunteering Strategy. This Strategy will shape the government’s vision for volunteering over the next ten years. The strategy will be released to mark the 10 year anniversary of the United Nations International Year of Volunteers (IYV +10) which will be celebrated through the world in 2011.
The strategy development is now at the community consultation phase and Volunteering Australia would like to encourage you to provide comment to government on the strategy.
An on-line survey has been developed to help identify the key issues for volunteering and shape the development of the Strategy. The closing date for the survey is 25 July 2010. We would greatly appreciate hearing your views on volunteering in Australia and encourage you to complete the survey.
