About Avalon The Australian Volunteering Library Network (Avalon) is a network of libraries across Australia specialising in resources on volunteering. Current members of the network are:
Volunteering Australia Volunteering NSW Volunteering Qld Volunteering SA
The catalogue has over 7000 resources available. The collection includes books, reports, training kits, videos, government reports and journal articles.
The network is run by the Volunteer Library Network Coordinator who works part time. The other libraries are run by volunteers. This means you might not receive assistance straight away. We will endeavour to help you as best as we can.
Mission: The mission of the Australian Volunteering Library Network is to support the advancement of volunteering in Australia. Our aims are to:
- Identify, select, preserve, create access to, provide reference assistance to and promote the use of the unique materials of the cooperating libraries in the network. - Provide the best possible service to our users and foster an environment in which volunteering and nonprofit issues can flourish.
