Welcome to this month's edition of InVOLve for October 2011.
Volunteer Australia is gearing up for the National Conference on Volunteering having ridden through the challenges of moving the conference at short notice. Registrations are strong but there is plenty of room for more so please register today and be a part of this special IYV+10 event.
The complete conference program is now available so check out the fabulous range of presentations and workshops as well as a first class program of national and international key note speakers.
In this edition you will also meet Ehon Chan, VAs representative attending the IAVE World Youth Summit in Colombia 28th to 31st October. Ehon will report back on the summit to delegates at the National Conference on Volunteering. This promises to be an interesting presentation detailing the learnings and outcomes from this meeting of youth volunteers.
The National Survey of Volunteering Issues opens on October 10th and there is information on how you can participate in this important research project. This is one of the most critical pieces of research undertaken by VA annually and your input will be most valuable so please make a note now to participate when the survey is launched.
The IYV+10 update includes information on the launch of the commemorative stamp and coin issued to celebrate the anniversary including details on how you can order them. The stamp and coin were launched by the Hon Tanya Plibersek, Minister for Social Inclusion, and the Hon Julie Collins, Parliamentary Secretary for Community Services, at the announcement of the 2011 Volunteer Grants.
All of this and more n this months InVOLve. Thank you for taking the time to read InVOLve and we hope you find the contents informative. Your feedback is always welcome.
