Call for abstracts and registrations NOW OPEN!
The 2016 National Volunteering Conference (6 – 8 April 2016, National Convention Centre Canberra) is the principal Australian forum for not for profit leaders, volunteer managers, policy contributors and corporates to come together to build knowledge, innovation, networks and leadership to advance volunteering.
Volunteering Australia is now calling for abstracts for the Conference. The call for abstracts is open from 1 June – 24 July 2015. The Conference is proudly supported by Beyond Bank Australia.
‘We are inviting people to submit abstracts for the next National Volunteering Conference. We are looking for innovative ideas from practitioners to build a quality program that will provide delegates with frameworks to future proof their volunteer workforce,’ said Brett Williamson OAM, CEO of Volunteering Australia.
Abstracts are invited for:
- 45 minute oral presentation (30 minute presentation plus 15 minutes for discussion)
- 45 minute interactive workshop
- Poster presentation
Submissions will be welcomed under four themes: Build Networks, Build Innovation, Build Knowledge, Build Leadership.
The Conference also announced two significant keynote speakers: Dr Brendan Nelson (Director, The Australian War Memorial) and Susan J. Ellis (President, Energize Inc).
