Tara Waniganayaka

Tara was elected to the Volunteering Australia Board in November 2018. She has a background in strategy and management consulting, focused on corporate social responsibility, not-for-profits and public policy. Tara recently joined the strategy team at Commonwealth Bank leading a suite of projects stemming from the recent Royal Commission and APRA reports. Her previous roles centred on strategy and transformation, primarily in the health, ageing, human services and central government sectors. Tara currently sits on the boards of Girl Guides Australia and Acquired Brain Injury Services. She has previously served as President on the University of Sydney Union board, and as director of the Stepping Out Program.
