Tim Jackson

Tim joined the Board in 2012 and was elected President in 2014 after serving as Vice President and Treasurer.

He is Chair of Volunteering SA/NT, a position he has held since 2011. He was first elected to the Board in 2007.

Tim is the Chair of the Board of Lighthouse Disability, an Adelaide based provider of disability services, a Director of Junction Australia, an Adelaide based provider of community services and affordable and community housing and AFFlIP, a provider of educational and nutritional services in the Phillipines.

Tim has served on numerous government and non government Boards, Inquiries and Committees at a local, national and state level.

He founded the Playford Chapter of Operations Flinders which is an organisation focused on bringing about change for young offenders and youth at risk.

Tim’s paid career was in Local Government in South Australia and Victoria. His most recent role was as CEO of the City of Playford, a position he held for eighteen years.

During his time at Playford he encouraged the provision of opportunities for volunteers to become part of the Playford workforce. When he left, the majority (550) of the Playford workforce of 1000 people were volunteers.
