Communications for Volunteers

To celebrate National Volunteer Week, the ANU Centre for Continuing Education is holding a course in Canberra, on communications for volunteers. Volunteer community organisations (such as sports groups, arts groups, charitable groups, social justice organisations, and religious groups) are the backbone of society, but many find communicating the work they do to be daunting or overwhelming. Communications for Volunteers aims to empower community groups by providing simple, low-cost ways for organisations to improve their communications without burning out their volunteers. It is a hands-on, entry-level course intended for those with little or no experience in marketing or communications (although a basic level of computer literacy is required).

Teacher: Dr Louise Merrington
Date: Starts Tuesday 9 May, 5 sessions on Tuesdays
Time: 6 – 8pm
Fee: $195
