New reporting requirements
Volunteering Australia welcomes volunteers being included in the new reporting requirements for COVID-19 aged care workforce vaccinations.
On 4 June 2021, the Australian Government announced new reporting requirements for COVID-19 aged care workforce vaccinations as an important measure to provide greater health security for aged care residents and senior Australians.
The guidance for providers clearly states that volunteers are included in the data collection and reporting on COVID-19 vaccinations across the aged care workforce. Volunteering Australia is pleased volunteers have been recognised as a vital part of the aged care workforce.
Weekly reporting will be a formal requirement for approved providers of residential aged care services starting from 15 June 2021. Weekly reporting will become a formal requirement for approved providers of in-home and community aged care services in the coming weeks.
