On 5 November 2025, Volunteering Australia will join organisations across the globe in celebrating International Volunteer Managers Day (IVMDay).
This year’s theme, ‘Be Bold. Make Change’ is a call to action for volunteer managers to step outside their comfort zone, advocate for what matters, and create the conditions where volunteering can thrive.
Volunteer managers, coordinators, and leaders of volunteers play a vital role in enabling safe, inclusive, and impactful volunteering. Their courage, innovation, and leadership shape the future of volunteering across Australia.
Share Your Story – Volunteer Managers Edition
As part of this year’s celebrations, we’re inviting volunteer managers to contribute to Share Your Story – Volunteer Managers Edition.
We want to hear from you:
- Why do you think bold leadership is important in volunteer management?
- What’s your proudest achievement as a Volunteer Manager?
- What’s one piece of advice for fellow Volunteer Managers?
Your story won’t just celebrate your leadership; it will contribute to a national initiative that helps diversify the understanding of volunteering and reshape public perceptions of volunteering, as part of the three-year Action Plan of the National Strategy for Volunteering.
We’ll be sharing these stories throughout the week of International Volunteer Managers Day to highlight bold leadership in action across the country.
