About the role
The Senior Finance Officer is responsible for the day-to-day financial management of Volunteering Australia. Working under the general direction of the Operations Director, you will ensure sound accounting practices, financial compliance, and accurate reporting that support our mission.
What you will do
- Manage core accounting functions, budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare accurate, timely financial reports and insights
- Ensure compliance with Australian NFP requirements
- Work closely with internal teams and external advisors
- Contribute to a collaborative, purpose-driven culture
What you will bring
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
- 3 to 4 years in a similar finance role
- High proficiency in Xero and advanced Excel
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and clear communication
