Our role
As the national peak body for volunteering, we work closely with the state and territory Volunteering Peak Bodies to influence public policy at the national level.
We develop evidence-based positions on public policy issues that impact the volunteering ecosystem and advocate for the interests of volunteers and volunteer involving organisations.
Through our policy and advocacy work, we promote the benefits of volunteering and seek to ensure volunteering is properly considered in policy settings, service design and strategic investment.
